Information I may collect about you, and how it might be used

1. Cookies

My website uses cookies. Far from being as tasty as they sound, cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser when you visit any website. They allow information gathered on one web page to be stored until it is needed for use on another, allowing a website to provide you with a personalised experience, and the website owner with statistics about how you use the website so that it can be improved.

Some cookies may last for a defined period of time, such as one day or until you close your browser. Others last indefinitely.

Your web browser should allow you to delete any you choose. It also should allow you to prevent or limit their use.

2. Personal identifiers from your browsing activity

Requests by your web browser to my site’s servers for web pages and other content on my website are recorded.

Information such as your geographical location, your Internet service provider, and your IP address may be collected. Also, information about the software you are using to browse my website, such as the type of computer or device, and the screen resolution. Information on how you use my website may be collected by MailerLite (you can read their privacy policy here).

I use this information in aggregate to assess the popularity of the webpages on my website and how my website is used. If combined with other information I know about you from previous visits, the data possibly could be used to identify you personally.

3. Information I process because of a legal obligation

I am subject to the law like everyone else. However unlikely, I may, one day, be required to process your information in order to comply with a statutory obligation. This may include your personal information.

4. Joining my mailing list (and receiving your free colouring sheets)

When you consent to joining my mailing list, I only require you to tell me your email address, and I will use this only for the purpose of sending you email newsletters which you can opt out of at any time. I will never pass your email address on to anyone else. My mailing list is handled by MailerLite which is based in the EU and subject to GDPR regulations. You can read their privacy policy here. You can unsubscribe from my mailing list at any time, and you’re still welcome to keep your free resources.

Besides your email address, MailerLite will also record personal identifiers from your browser as laid out in point 2 above. This information is recorded in order to improve my mailing list service. Again, you can unsubscribe from my list at any time.

If you are under 13 years of age, you must ask an adult for permission to join my mailing list.

5. Data may be processed outside the European Union

My website is hosted within the EU, but I may also use outsourced services in countries outside the European Union. And so, data obtained within the UK or any other country could be processed outside the EU.
